Stories of the Chinese abandoning their babies are highly exaggerated and people outside of China often has a misconception about it. Much like, I would like to think, the way people have the misconception of America and Americans to be selfish, arrogant, ignorant and condescending people who issue opinions without understanding the full entirety of the subject they are talking about.
