To the ones starting Effexor XR. I was prescribed it over 2 years ago due to SEVERE depression over the loss of my Dad. Lexapro made me worse. Effexor XR got me out of that depression and back on my feet. I quit after 4 months when I was feeling better cause I didn't care for the side effects. The drug saved my life though! Not everybody has horrible withdrawal symptoms. I certainly didn't.

@oracle945 You are absolutely right. The new manufacturer is Pfizer, they bought Wyeth a while ago.

@soulagent79 The manufacturer is Wyeth labs. responsible for Ativan-Lorazepam and Temezepam. both extremely addictive drugs. How on earth can these drug companies get away with introducing such poisons into the human population. Wyeth, you owe millions of people around the world, a huge apology.

do not go on this drug!! if you just started GET OFF IMMEDIATELY!! i have been unable to go off of it for 13 years because of the withdrawal. it is HORRIBLE.
