This is truely an amazing moment while praying for the unification of the The Russian Orthodox Church Abroad with the Moscow Patriarchate. This is the "Small Enterance " or "Malee Vhod"

  • If this is the Small Entrance, how is the Great one? (-;

  • The Russian Orthodox church always has a grand way of doing things. Not like any other Christian service...

  • It's funny that even though I renounced Christianity I still concider myself Orthodox. I know that makes absolutely no sense.

  • Because its real man, and there is no way around that.. you can push it away all you want but it is still there no matter how hard you try to get rid of it.

  • Nice, but this is the Small Entrance (when the Gospel book is brought in procession), not the Great Entrance (when the gifts are brought to the Altar). This must be from the IV All-Diaspora Council in May 2006 with Metropolitan Lavra et al. serving here. Were you there as a delegate?

  • Thanks, I know, it is my mistake, I should change the title, I was part of the male choir, served and was security for the council. Not a delagate, just did what I could to help the event run smoothly.

  • Hahaha! Great Comment!

    Greetings from Russian Orthodox in Australia

  • greetings orthodox brothers from Serbia

  • Come let us worship and fall down before Christ,

    who rose from the dead, O Son of God,

    Save us who sing to You: Alleluia!

  • Hi Robert. You misread my comment. I wasn't saying THIS is the great entrance, but that THERE IS a great entrance (which this is not) : )

  • ....excepting, of course, when the singing of the Cherubic Hymn overlaps the beginning and the ending of the entrance. But this is definitely not the Cherubic Hymn.

  • No, it is the little entrance. You can tell by what is being sung in Slavonic: "Oh come, let us worship, and fall down before Christ....." Plus, at the great entrance there is no choral singing like this, just one deacon or priest or bishop chanting at a time.

  • This is amazing! I am an Ethiopian Orthodox christian, to hear my brothers of Orthodox with this kind of voice is an amazing feeling.

  • beautiful, wonderful feeling when you're there
