A red sox and a mets fan fought each other for the lone dislike.

Agreed, and I am a Donnie Baseball fan also, even though I was 6 when I became a Yankee fan in '92. Scooter also sent get well wishes to people in hospitals.
By the way, do you think the Scooter would have announced half-birthdays?

These two promos are produced by John Allison, working in the creative services department of WPIX - dept. head at the time is Paul Bissonette. Fantastic stuff. Not sure who the shooter is. A little before my time at PIX.

DONALD ARTHUR MATTINGLY: The reason I love the Yankees today. Most regular season wins in the decade, and sadly no title. 1984-87 were some fun years in the Bronx. And Scooter calling games and "Happy Birthdays" and canoli convos? What a time. I miss those days, man. Yes, I love the titles, but hate all the front runner fans now claiming Yankee loyalty.

Those were great times. In the 1990s as well. In a perfect world, the Yankees would come back to WPIX, and the Mets, back on WWOR-TV.
