The Homeland Security Subcommittee on Transportation Security held a hearing entitled "Has TSA Met the Deadline to Provide Expedited Screening to Military Service Members?"

The hearing examined whether the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) have successfully implemented the requirements outlined in P.L. 112-86, the "Risk-Based Security Screening for Members of the Armed Forces Act," legislation authored by Rep. Cravaack. The Act required TSA, in consultation with the DoD, to develop and implement a plan to provide expedited security screening services for members of the armed forces by July 2, 2012.

The President signed the measure into law in January 2012.
