I just finished another iteration of the new RenderSystem of starLiGHT.Engine and had great success at creating a brand new HLSL Shader for realtime 2D per Pixel Lighting. This time I used a isometric view, but it will work in all tilemap variants (squared, isometric, hexagonal, dimetric).
THIS IS ALL 2D GFX.
The Framerate is decellerated by FRAPS. On my gpu it runs with 2400 FPS. Even with more than 100 Lights I got stable 60 FPS in debug mode.
Look out for the final version of the 2D part of the starLiGHT.Engine...
