To commemorate 20 years since the final transmission of the original Crossroads, here is a BBC episode of TV Heroes featuring Noele Gordon, broadcast in 1993 and presented by Danny Baker.
Russell Harty asks Noele Gordon the question we are still wondering, 'Your the linchpin why was it you that had to go?'

  • Crossroads was tons better then the Eastenders rubbish, Corrie and Crossroads rule.

  • Crossroads was the first show to put a telephone help line on the end of the programme .

Unlike other soaps where ethnic actors were added for simple race storylines, Crossroads added all kinds of actors of all creeds and colours with the basic idea that these people were characters and colour was not the principal reason for casting them. This made Crossroads one of the first soaps to employ many Asian and African actors in the UK.

  • Complete and utter tripe and badly acted rubbish. But that diddnt stop me or millions of others watching!

  • The other woman in the b/w clip is the actress who played Meg's sister,Kitty but sadly died early on.
