An honest take on immigration - something you can't get from a Democrat or a Republican. Then again, you can't get an honest man from them, either. Thom Truelove is an honest man.

Stop electing politicians to do politics?

Sound was turned off as I was at work. (I should really learn how to read lips.)
It could be interesting to judge the candidates by their non-verbal impression. I take it a person who smiles more often is regarded as more pleasent, while smiling too much could be suspicious. ("Why is s/he smirking all the time?")
In my opinion, when push comes to shove, it shouldn't be about looks. It's your record and objectives that should be the issue. Otherwise miss Universe would rule the planet.

Wonderful - more candidates should do this. Tom sounds like he MEANS it. And that's SO rare.

Very well said. I often want to ask the candidates, "Write down on the paper in front of your how many pages long you think the Constitution of the United States is?"
I doubt any would know it is ~ 15 pages. The simplicity of the document is the beauty of it.

A true and fresh approach - something the other candidates don't even speak about.
So what political experience do you have?

I have precisely the same political experience the average American has. We all have experience with interpersonal politics.
I am not seeking to become a politician or a bureaucrat. It is commonly said that politicians are ruining this country. If that's true, we ought to stop electing them.
I agree strongly with Mark Twain about this question. He said, "Politicians, like diapers, should be changed often - and for the same reason."

You look like a honest person, even with the sound turned off.

That brings up an interesting point. Do the other candidates look honest after one has set the television to Mute?
