I recorded two jigs just now.

The first one is called The Legacy. I learned tune this in Taffee's bar in Galway, Ireland.

And the second one is my own composition (1:45). I choose to call it Trip to Galway, inspired by my stay in Galway this summer.

Contains lots of errors as usual, especially in the beginning, but it gets better when I have played a bit.

  • thats a brillaint compostiton you did! I think it would be better if the guitar was recorded a bit quieter so we could hear the whistle better, but I love the way you put the instruments together in the video like that. I agree, it would be awsome to have your tune on thesession! I'll get round to recording some tunes for you at some point, I need to practice like crazy though and get up to sctratch :)

  • Thanks! I will try to get it up on thesession(dot)org soon. I'm looking forward to your next video. I guess the MK whistle is still alive? : )

  • Really well played on both tunes. I might do a video response some time soon, if you don't mind having one. Five from me.

  • Thank you! You are welcome to make a video response any time you want. Will you use fiddle, mandolin or banjo, or all three of them if you make the video? : )

  • Probably banjo. I can't accompany myself (melody only for me), so I'll just go with my strongest instrument. It may be awhile before I do this, but I'll send it as a video response when I do.

  • Great! I'm looking forward to it.

  • Very nice, thanks for sharing this!

  • I agree with the others, it reminds me very much of tinwhistler. It's beautiful, and I especially like your original. You'll have to put on thesession one of these days.

    By the way...

I'm thinking about something, and I think you know what it is ^^
