Blundstones iconic boots and renown footwear, available from select retailers including the Australian Boot Company in Vancouver, hosted their first annual Art to Boot fundraising last Thursday evening, September 19th in support of AMES (Access to Media Education Society).
Held at The Granville Island Brewing Company, Blundstones Art to Boot saw the auctioning of fifteen specially designed and personalized Blundstone Boots, created by local celebrities of the media and art world. The audience participated heartily, with the highest bid going to a glittering tribute to Michael Jackson, complete with Thriller sound track.
We were delighted with the success of the event last night, declared Andria Gillis, Operations Manager, Australian Boot Company. Thanks to some enthusiastic bidding, over $3500 was raised and all proceeds will go to supporting the citys young people, as they cultivate communication and media skills.
