My very first ocarina video! Whee!

Wow, this was fun! I actually had to record this while standing about ten feet away and outside the room from the mic because my ocarina was so loud. But all things considered, I think it came out pretty okay. I may try for a better recording in the future, but this one's not bad for now. No video because the lighting in my room is miserable and you literally can't see. Oh, and I forgot to put a cutoff prevention. If anyone finds that to be a problem, I'll fix it (it doesn't cut off my playing, though)

Critique is welcome if you have it. :3

Song: Ponyo Theme (Gake no Ue no Ponyo)
Played on: Teardrop Soprano G pendant by Focalink

I guess I should also explain where the hell my next review is, too. Well, I was kicked off of the only computer in my house that can make videos any more complex than this one. So until I get access to that computer again or get a new one, I'll be unable to make any new reviews. Sorry, guys. :(

  • Hi im likely geting it anyways but I was wondering, would you recomend this ocarina for beginers, becuase I really like the sound of it and im kind of low on money so please respond =)

  • @toada26 Hello! Glad you're interested!

This is a fantastic beginner's ocarina and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to play a pendant-style. Its tone is very pure and it's almost impossible to blow a bad note. It's loud, though, but at $20, it's a steal. I bought it from Songbird Ocarinas (Actually right now this very style is on sale at the website for $17, so this would be an excellent time to invest if you want one.

Hope this helps! Happy playing! :D

  • O_O a six holed ocarina is 4 on top 2 on bottom right? i need the tabs for this for my C tear drop ocarina

  • That's right, four holes on top and two on bottom. You can find the six-hole tabs for this song on Docjazz4's original challenge video, which can be found on the link directly under this video.

And yay, another Teardrop owner! Although mine's a G. :D
