Herman Munster Takes a Drive

Herman Munster drives and crashes a car that was meant for Eddie, for Eddie's birthday. i recorded this from dvd's that i got from amazon.com. amazon sold copies of the entire tv series of the munsters, along with munster movies. i enjoyed them a great deal.

@410missmonkeyful i guess the town ( mockingbird heights ) tried to save money by using cheap fire hydrants. i imagine the town has gotten its act together by now.

@51mermaidclaira yea, herman got himself into some problems. seems that every time they showed him driving a vehicle, something went wrong. like the time when he drove the race car in england.

@trailboyus66  in a panic situation, i guess a person may forget which pedal is the brake as opposed to the gas pedal. yea, it sounds like something lucy would have done. after lucy would have crashed, ricky likely would have noticed the resulting damage, and then ricky would have said, "loooossyyyy !!----- 'splain !"

@coventrygardens Yeah he did. A few weeks ago someone in Texas did'nt know how to release a parking brake on a late model car. The guy floored it in reverse and knocked someone down. He also backed into a parked car on the lot and smashed it. The damage to the drivers car was a damaged bumper. Sounds like something that Lucy would have done on The I Love Lucy Show. I know accidents are not funny; but this one has still got me laughing....

@trailboyus66 he likely hit the gas pedal so hard that it just stayed down, and thus the car kept going and going. i'm not sure whether i've driven that kind of car. i assume it uses a gas pedal, as opposed to a hand throttle, but i'm not sure.

@ftsjr it's funny, and yet i think the funniest part is at the end where grandpa remarks about eddie's birthday being ruined.

i did too. after i watched them for a while, i let some friends have the dvds. i guess my favorite scene from the whole series was when herman sang "dry bones". i've seen it on youtube.
