A properly insulated attic will save you a lot of money on your winter heating bills.

Take a minute, look in your attic and ask yourself these simple questions; Is your home over 15 years old? Is your heating bill excessive during the winter or your hydro bill high during the summer? Can you see the top of the ceiling joists in your attic? Do you have recessed lighting (pot lights)?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you probably need more attic insulation!

The 1997 National Energy Code requires an R-30 to R-50 rating depending on the type of heating you have in your household and the type of roof (Flat, cathedral, or attic).
With electric heating you can have a R-30 rating in your attic as it is the cheapest heat source in Quebec,
