  • Despite the crisis of Russian civilization and spirituality today, Russian pianism remains a hardly surpassable rival to all those western schools notwithstanding its multiple borrowings. Ballet, figure skating and pianism are our only three last ditches; my damn country has no more to lose besides that. I will die for Russian composers. I will become the Omnificent and Omnibenevolent One whose destination will be to bring down the whole macrocosm if Russian classical music passes away forever.

Yeah! With a droplet of young Scriabin and Rachmaninov. However, if this weren’t monsieur Gryaznov, I’d rather say this is a gem by early Godowsky. H moll is so godlike. The grief of the whole Universe is concentrated en si mineur.

    .

By the way, very beautifully typeset score. Sibelius software version 5, I guess.

    .

Вы заставили меня окунуться в позднеромантические вихри двухлетней давности, Мастер. Мне до Вас как наивному художнику до передвижников.

  • Kissin has NOTHING on you, mister Gryaznov, as pianist and musician.

  • только сейчас узнала что это называется вальс-фантазия... на уроках в музшколе эту пьесу называли "меланхолический вальс"

  • 8:25 to 8:30 is heard like one of blumenfeld's etudes

  • @domdombohya it really is a nice piece to play

  • Просто геніально! Бравіссімо! :-)

  • I'll try this attractive piece!

    Thank you!

  • how perfect???!!!!!
