Exactly as it says - the Finchley Road at 6pm.

You gotta be crazy to use a car in London these days.

  • your an idiot no offense but the bus lanes are open 24/7 for bikes why the hell are you going through traffic I make more progress than you on a bike twice the size

  • Oh really? Then why not show us your skills, jedi master. First up, the bus lanes are full of...*drumroll*....buses. It's handy to drop in and out of but if you want to sit behind a bus sucking up those terrible diesel fumes from out of the side, be my guest. And post a vid eh? Otherwise you're JAMWO (just another moron with opinion)

  • well not to sound disrepectful but there is no skill to it. You ride down the bus lane its that simple. That aint 200 buses all sat in the lane at the same time now is there. If I can manage it you should be able to as well. Deal with it you cant read bus lane signs not my problem.

  • But it isn't that simple, because bikes travel faster than buses, which stop frequently - which is why sitting in a bus lane isn't the fastest way forward. They're great, don't get me wrong...but to ride exclusively in the bus lane is slower, and some might say more dangerous. But show us all a vid of your riding skills.

  • seppes - you're clearly a style rider, because in my world it doesn't matter how robotic my head movements are - what does matter is the observation.

  • I love these road movies, I used to work at the Community centre at Swiss Cottage and never saw traffic that bad until Temple Fortune. Did you get a ticket for going in the bus lane? My friend did in that exact spot.

  • The whole length of the Finchley Road bus lane is open to motorcycles - part of a TfL long term test to see if they're going to open them up nationally to bikes (which I really hope they do)

  • @elixier22 I really don't see the problem with this video? I ride through central London on a scooter and this is basically how you need to ride through the city. Otherwise you might as well get on a push bike or drive a car.

Yes maybe a bit of a squeeze at points but thats London for you.

  • katteleksää useikin tälläsii videoit prodr1ft?

  • and thups up if u saw another bentley continental at 0:52 :o

  • thumps up if u saw bentley continental on right at 0:19

  • Prooves to me that there should be a dam lot more bikes in town and a lot less cars. That way a lot of people might get there a bit quicker. Makes sense

  • @Quentyn73 And that's why a scooter or motorcycle is your best bet in London, actually your best bet is public transport, I lived in London for 6 months and I only bought a car when I was going home to Yorkshire

  • THANKS FOR THE VIRTUAL LIFT THROUGH MEMORY LANE,I MEAN FINCHLEY ROAD.I USED TO WORK AT FINCHLEY ROAD AREA FOR 10 CONSECUTIVE YEARS.AS I FELT A BIT NOSTALGIC ABOUT DECIDED TO FIND STAFF ABOUT IT IN YOUTUBE SO THAT'S HOW I FIND YOUR VIDEO.COOL!!THANX AGAIN.I'M DONE WITH THE MEMORIES NOW!!

  • Well i think its pretty good going!

But then i don't live/ride in a city but if i ever have to i hope i can beat the traffic as easy. Cheers quasimojo
