@WJC007 I have more respect for Howard than most Tories, but you must be taking the piss.
He would have never have won a landslide victory. The Tory disaster (aka the Thatcher administration) doomed the Tories to loose 3 times, although Tony Blair being a fantastic PM helped them win too. Howard is unelectable, because he was the one who introduced the poll tax. End of.

@WJC007 Oh and in 2005 people kept their senses and knew the tories were talking shit. Where are the 6 million more people since 2005? Nowhere to be seen! The tories will cap immigration, but not by much more. As we all know 95% of immigration between 1997 and 2010 came from the EU, and you can't cap that!

If Michael was leader for this recent election the Tories would have probably had a landslide victory. In the 2005 election he was really the only leader wanting to take a tough stand on immigration and the voters were not really interested, but in this recent election immigration was almost top of the agenda. It's a shame Michael lost in 2005, he would have been a brilliant Prime Minister.
