  • I own one work great. Power ,Just push it on,You don't hold it down. IQ test for this guy, This machine has no brains use your own.

  • @NRAGreer Of course I am wrong, because we all know software NEVER has any bugs and companies NEVER put out new software and hardware revisions. We live in a perfect world.

  • Another thing is I did a lot of research online on the unit before buying and saw many people having the power issue. I still purchased it because I wanted to see if maybe Magellen have fixed the issue with newer codes. It was worth trying for the cheap price but it does have issues. I have used PDA GPS, Garmin C340, Navigon, Delphi NAV200, Dual XNAV3550, and this stupid Magellen is the only one that has a power issue. If you can hack into it to make it work...then good for you.

  • I know about the 2-3 second power on/off rule from day one. That isn't my issue. The first several days worked perfectly fine. Then the system started acting up and even holding the frick'n power button down for 5 seconds didn't turn the unit on. It will eventually recover if you do a cold start up by holding the power button for 10 seconds. To me, this unit has flaws, and it doesn't matter how cheap it is. If you can't turn it the unit on, then what's the point of having one.

  • check google for hack 4250. you can hack it to do all sorts of things including video by adding by accessing windows CE on it. you can buy it refurbished now on ritz for $120. I am excited to get mine soon. thats for the help for all the suggestions on common issues.

  • since you have used navigon before, which version did you have and what's your opinion on it?i'm considering one.thank you.

  • The power button everyone complains about is suppost to work that way, it has a sleep mode, and 4250 is not the only gps that has a power button like this. Rerouting is very quick 3-5 sec not good enough for you GESH, and where were you off the map.SITTING IN A PARKING LOT OFF THE STREET!! No gps is exact only within so many ft. The blutoth conct prob was fixed on latest firmware update and what do you expect from the sound its not an ear peice. Mine 4250 works great WITH THE SAME POWER BUTTON.
