For a more complete video go to www.fritztkd.com. This is a video from the North Korean Tae Kwon Do Demonstration Team in Cedar Rapids. Specifically, it is a routine where the woman gets to be the hero. The team came to the United States through Tae Kwon Do Times as a gesture of goodwill and sportsmanship.

  • I couldn't laugh when I watched it. I really cried when watching this video. I'm south korean and I am a taekwondoist. Seeing the North korean team show their skills like that it reminded me that we're almost the same and that, despite our conflict, we love the same sport and we had the same culture.

    really, they did well.

  • There is a way Korea can reunify, but it will take a huge amount of courage on the part of S.Korean leaders... Firstly, declare total independence and get the USA off its back. So it won't be seen as a pawn of the USA by China. That is the very first step to reunification, as China will never allow a pro-US nation on its borders. If Korea can claim to be totally sovereign and independent, then China wouldn't have much of a problem.

  • @TaintedFaith88 If that were the case, then S. Korea would have to maintain an equally large army, because of the Communist N. Korean and Chinese force to the north, both of which now have nuclear weapons. Instead, they rely on the US to defend them. If N. Korea took a page out of S. Korea's book, opened its economy, downsized its military, and relied on China to protect them, they wouldn't be starving.

  • @m1a2onutube Why does N.Korea need to maintain such a large army to begin with? Isn't the alliance with the USA part of the problem in causing N.Korea to remained heavily armed to the teeth? (and the fact that China views S.Korea as a US base of operations, serves as an incentive for China to constantly arm N.korea too). It's not about economic prosperity or political ideology... it's about the pride of the Korean people as a whole. If you reject your other half, then what pride do you have?

  • @TaintedFaith88 When your neighbors have the 4th largest army in the world, and the largest special ops force, and artillery capable of obliterating your capital in 7 minutes, and a nuclear weapons program, and they're showing constant aggression towards you, you want a powerful ally on your side. With the help of the US, S. Korea has become a major economic power. Under communism, N. Korea is starving, with all its resources going towards its military.

  • yeah, yeah, funny!

  • @TaintedFaith88 Well that in itself would make it very easy for a Chinese led invasion. The main factor here being faith. Independence would only trigger thoughts of dominance and war. A signed document or promised word will not guarantee reunification.

  • @EIEN07 Korean is a shrimp between whales. Its disgusting that a nation gets split apart by the powers that be.

  • Wow...how about that... North Koreans got humor too.

  • hahahahaha that is funyy
