When I use this game with SCUMMVM, than I get this sound. But whjen I play it with the DOSBox, then everything is made with piano (what still sounds really cool)

@KonsolN If everything is on piano for some reason its referring all the midi tracks as default midi instrument.

no it's more like someone just replayed the songs on the piano. Things like explosions have just no sound :/

By the way, I can hear from this video your MT-32 is in pretty bad shape, as it with mine. It's really a shame they lose capability of playing partials if you overuse them.

Do you mean cartoony? Because the series has always been cartoony. There is this one scene in MI 1 with guybrush closed up, which I remeber the artist regretted, since it wasn't cartoony enough.

I wouldn't use the adjective "cartoony" for the first and second. For example, whenever they showed closeups of the characters, they tried to draw them as realistic as possible, rather than as cartoons.
