@jvolstad when your Realtor does not explain all your options including renting to you...You should run as far away from them as fast as you can...because they do not have your best interest...I hope that helps you with your concern about renting and Realtors...

@jvolstad I would be crazy to go rent instead of buying..and my interest rate 5%...if I refinance at todays rates 3.88% ..the rent/mortgage is less...you do the math...I choose to pay $400 less...

@jvolstad For some people its better to rent because they can't qualify for a loan or they need temporary housing. This video does not talk about renting. I always tell my clients are you sure you don't want to rent.Realtors can make money renting houses too so why wouldn't they offer it. If clients are going to stay for while and they have good credit its cheaper to buy and you can make changes to the property. My mortgage is $600, a similar house for rent would be over $1000.

One reason you left out. Realtors will never let you find out that renting is cheaper and most likely better for you.
