No way this routine should've won over Olga Teslenko's.

Hideous form and presentation. Looks like she's just muscling her way through all the skills. It's a shame she didn't have different coaching during her elite career. I wonder what she could have done if she had been able to combine her difficulty and consistency (which was always there) with decent form, maybe some ballet training and decent choreography. She did look much improved under Val Kondos during her UCLA years.

The Americans won every gold they won here, except for Moceanu's AA gold, only because it was an American invitational type meet in the guise of something like the American Cup. Atler on vault and floor would have been 2nd or 3rd if this event was anywhere else, and Maloney on beam would have been about 5th. Moceanu deserved her AA gold but the scores were slanted to her and against her rivals too, and she would have been gifted the gold even if Khorkina and Amanar had not fallen.

Seems like the Americans were over scored
there.

Kinda sloppy, I don't think she should have won.

How the hell did she win gold with that sloppy routine. Yes the difficulty is there, but there is more to gymnastics then difficulty.
