you run 45 psi on that 95 talon of yours? I find that a bit hard to believe.

When the Valve opens, isn't the vehicle going to suck in unmetered and unfiltered air????
-
@pittsburghxzach Make sure your other pipes are ridged and no worries.
-
now u need a 10000000 dollar car to put it on ^^

very cool.

@Triple88a ...the parts with the set screws.
-
Personally I think this would be more common if the end parts (that you're holding on to when opening it) were 1" longer so one could use regular couplers instead of this 10-32 set screw O ring method that is a leak in progress especially with normal aluminum piping.

That sir is beautiful.
Well done.
so with those 6 small alan bolts holding your intercooler plumbing together you expect it to hold together even with high boost? and what boost is it rated to before the blow off valve seperates from the piping?

@pittsburghxzach
The screws go right into the pipes to hold positively and not just with friction. So far it has been tested to 25psi but other customers might have gone higher. I have sold just over 200 of these so far in 3 years with no problems

How does the sliding part of the valve seal agains the valve body? O-ring?
ThiefOfLaughter 2 years ago
Yes, it presses against an O-ring. Once sealed the air inside has nothing to push against so it is impossible for it to leak. For maintenance you just squirt some oil into the vacuum line occasionally.

So if it only holds on with set screws, i would imagine you would need some very sturdy plumbing for this to work. Not really for those of us running thin-wall aluminum intercooler plumbing?

@contraption22
The inside of the valve tapers so that the pipes wedge into the ends which stabilises them. Also I recommend drilling into the pipe a little to give the screw a positive seat.
