Andrew Strom is author of the first book on the Lakeland outpouring. He spent 11 years in the same Prophetic movement as Todd Bentley. Here he tells us why he questions the Lakeland outpouring, the...

Theres a difference between a revival & a refreshing/outpouring. A revival looks like...a revival. A refreshing/outpouring looks like florida(but florida went south because of a spiritually immature leader...who fell HARD)! They never advertised Florida as a revival. Asking for truth from the Lord in retrospect of Florida is important. Asking God...in the midst of any outpouring is VERY important. Because, we're people...not God. There was a LOT of good that came from Florida.

It is not about what good comes from some supposed outpooring or revival. The reality is that we do not know what is truly good unless we know the one true Living, Most High God. He makes a great point in pointing out that the true revivals were those crying out for forgiveness, and mercy from our Lord.

@jmcclellan54321 One has to have the gift of distinction of the spirits to judge spiritual phenomenons, in order not to comit the sin that can't be forgiven.

I agree, yet, wisdom, knowledge and discernment is what is called for as well. Apparently, no one seems to have the gift of discerning spirits when it comes to Lakeland.

friend standing next to her also felt the glory. Her response? "I'm going to hell! I'm going to hell!" She immediately also began to shout. So, I stopped speaking of Jesus because the glory fell in such manifest presence and the reaction was so strong. The Catholic girl, to me, reacted wrong because of false teaching about saints. he other woman, imo, was most likely reprobate. She couldn't take the glory and just started yelling to stop the glory from being present. One experience I had

I don't even know about this "crying out for mercy". That's not right. The Holy Spirit ministers mercy. Now, here's my experience. I had a woman I worked with ask me to speak about the grace of God in the Lord Jesus Christ. So, I began to speak. The glory of God immediately began to manifest. She shouted, "You're a saint! You're a saint!" #1 - she was "off". It wasn't about "me". I was speaking of Jesus and she needed to receive the Word (she was Catholic). Then her unsaved...

I've walked with Jesus over 50 years
and have been part of some really great
Holy Ghost outpourings. GENUINE Holy
Spirit movements are ALWAYS marked
by ZEAL FOR HOLINESS, HEARTS
BROKEN FOR SINNERS, and SERIOUS
MOURNING OVER OUR LOST WORLD.
The Holy Ghost gives much joy as well,
there are many tears of happiness, songs
of praise and lives changed.
But this "Lakeland Outpouring"... If its an
"outpouring", its certainly NOT any out-
pouring having to do with the Spirit of God.
