I hope that the zoo loses it's accreditation if it has it to begin with.. Unprotected contact and use of bull hooks is not allowed anymore. Not to mention being made to paint to entertain humans is disgusting. This poor creature deserves to spend her life with others of her own kind in a place that allows her to roam freely and enjoy the next 30 yrs of her life.. SHAME ON YOU VALLEY ZOO, as a Canadian I am thoroughly disgusted with your archaic ideas of what's good for this creature

This is absolutely devastating. You can feel her hopelessness and desperation through the screen...but this is yet only one way elephants are abused the world over. Everyone...please make yourself aware and do not visit zoos or other establishmnts that rob these creatures of their divine rights!!

This is disgusting. Everyone involved with this should be hog tied and hung over a swamp of hungry alligators. Have you no shame. These beautiful creatures deserve love , not people looking to make a quick buck . I can only hope that now that Bob Barker has brought Lucy into the public eye, that she will be released to a home more deserving of her.

No animal is born to entertain humans. Lucy's guardians should be ashamed of themselves for teaching her such mindless tricks. Free this and all other animals to sanctuaries where they are not expected to perform in any way. Valley Zoo, please put the animals first - that means releasing exotic animals to a protected and much more natural lifestyle.

Sickening display of animal exploitation. This elephant should be roaming with friends and enjoying a peaceful, warm retirement not entertaining gawking tourist as a zoo attraction. Valley Zoo obviously has no shame, class or compassion.

This is absolutely DISGUSTING. Why isnt this poor elephant in Africa surrounded by other beautiful elephants and not being made a fool by a bunch of retarded humans?? ELEPHANTS ARE NOT MEANT TO PAINT! And you should be teaching your stupid kids that too.
