http://www.powerfultrainingsecrets.com - this method of deadlifting is not for the faint of heart...you take a moderate weight and (first thing in your workout) crank out as many reps as you can as fast as you can. GREAT for building strength-endurance and base strength.

  • The bar you are using isn't the same as a traditional deadlift, even though I know you are strong and in shape. I will challange you to a contest to see who can do the most non-stop (no regripping) reps in 1:30 minutes with 315 by March 1, 2012. I like to do this just to keep motivated. Keep in touch, deadlifter! By the way, how much do you weigh?

  • @Ripped348 - Yep, exactly. It's basically a version of a trap bar that allows you to keep a more upright stance. Right now I weigh 200 lbs. I'll take you up on that contest, though I think the time limit isn't really necessary - 315 for reps will all about speed...we'll both be dead long before hitting 90 seconds, I think :)

  • where do you get one of those bars?? for a good price of course haha

  • @NobleBone187 THey're actualy not too expensive and totally worth it! If you do a Google search for Super Deadlift Bar, you'll be able to see where you can get em.

  • Is that kind of weight easier to handle with that style of bar?

  • @wccrispy - absolutely - this bar lets you get right in the center of the weight so you don't get the same torque on the lower back as you do with a straight bar that you have to bring around the knees. This is the Super Deadlift Bar - the trap is the same concept, but you're standing inside more an enclosed cage set up. Either one works great.

  • Sorry, its 315 rep out deadlift

  • I appreciate that; i weigh a little more, around 225; but I'm probably a litte older; it would be a good motivator for me to take the challenge. I've done 335 27 times, but I was in better shape a year ago. I've got a video at "315 for reps deadlifts" where i'm doing it 24 times, but I can get better. Keep in touch

  • I like 20 rep squats, and have been using them with great results for awhile. However, I started training at home, and don't have a squat rack. So far, 20 rep deads has been just as good

  • excellent lifting. there always has to be someone with some negative comments. GOOD LIFTING.

  • I call 100lbs moderate not 315. Great lifting
