  • man u ruined it...

  • Your playing of this piece in February, 2007 at Colorado All State Choir was the most astounding performance I've ever seen by a high school student. Thanks for sharing this version Jeffrey!

  • Superb....now Jeff, hurry up and become famous,,,,will ya!

  • JEFF, you ought to charge dollars upon dollars for this.

  • A wonderful performance! [I do know how difficult the Mephisto is to play] I think you played it too fast, though. The introduction is meant to be the orchestra tuning up, not in tutti. The dreaded "leaps" were excellent (though not entirely free of a split note or two, but, from memory, this passage is marked "piano" and I think it should have been slower and softer. It is important to make the most of the sensuous [Margaret] bits, which you did. Your final double octaves were perfect. Bravo!

  • excellent........carry on doing what you're doing the way you do it.

Really brilliant performance for a young pianist.

  • Dude, i especially like this last part of it, you make it sound like the devil, that slimebag!!!! remember, seductive, evil, and violent, that's what this piece is about, expose the evil works of darkness,

  • And I'll tell you why this is such a masterful performance. When a performer knows how to feel the silence in the piece, plays the quiet parts with grace and beauty, caresses them, and can put the power in the parts that demand it. The force and the crispness. This is some performance. Look at the range - the absolute silence to the all out power. Amazing!!

  • how do you do that?

  • A thoroughly laudable performance. I can picture old Mephistopheles turning into a poodle right now. ;-)
