Helicopter Rescue from Shadow Lake Lodge

We took a cross-country skiing day trip to Shadow Lake Lodge (28 km round trip). One of the people in our group got suddenly sick as we approached the lodge and was later airlifted out to Banff hospital.

We started our trip late so the plan was to return right away after reaching the lodge but our sick friend was in no shape travel back anytime soon and there were no more vacancies at the lodge. We called Parks Canada for a snowmobile to come and rescue her but they sent a helicopter instead - pretty unreal. Thankfully, we believe our friend was just very dehydrated and got better once back at Banff hospital. The girl in pink going into the helicopter in this video was going to go accompany the sick friend who was already inside.
