@brittanic123 The silver thing on the end is just that, a silver thing. It does nothing. To sharpen these pencils you really need to purchase the urban decay sharpner. I tried other sharpners and they just do not wor as well or let your eye liner last as long as the urban decay sharpner does.

do you have a hard time sharpening these since they are so creamy?

I had a hard time just using a regular pencil sharpner. I had to get the Urban Decay Grind House from Sephora for them to work really good...I know its $8 for a pencil sharpner but it works miracles and it will make your pencils last a loooot longer!!
