Field testing of a home-designed gold highbanker sluice in an old alluvial goldfield in northeast Victoria, Australia. The sluice can process the equivalent of a pan of gravel every 6 seconds (i.e. 10 pans per minute or 600 pans/shovels of dirt per hour), maximising through-put of paydirt and bottomline recovered gold.

Couple of questions;1) why petrol pump not battery powered?
2) does your sluice completely break down clay before it falls off the grisly plate or through the holes to the riffles below?
