I agree Bill, but Obama with the approval of Congress passed a law making it illegal to protest anywhere that secret service is present. This pretty much limits free speech against any politician or the president that has secret service pesent, which is usally the case.

They can sign any bill they want...doesn't mean it will stand up in court...that law clearly violates the first amendment and will collapse when challenged in court.

But to the people in government, free speech is a real danger. Why do you think they are so hostile toward it.

Most in government have never been trained in the details of free speech law so they make stupid rules that violate the Constitution and poorly trained officers enforce the rule simply because it is in the books.

All they have to do is say that you're breaking the law by disrupting the peace or some other made up charge. I've seen it when folks were preaching on street corners. It's not right yet it's done. It's sad.

True, but the Dearborn Michigan cops recently paid out $100,000 for suppressing the free speech rights of a Christian group.....even cops can be taught.

The flaw in this law is, how would one know if the "secret service was present" being they are so good at being so secret that nobody knows they are present?

True. BUT the average Joe in America does not have the resources to challenge such unconstitutional laws in court. If one can't afford to challenge it in court they become a victim at the mercy of a corrupt system.

I'm less than a mile away from Dearborn. The Christians were assaulted. It reminded me of that seen in Beverly Hills Cops when Axel gets thrown through a big plate glass picture window, and when he starts to give the police his story, they arrest Foley for disturbing the peace.

A LICENSE, any form of LICENSE is nothing more and nothing less than written permission from a MASTER to a SLAVE. How many licenses do people have on average?

Well, we want to have a two or three hour event, and not one that will require a follow up in court. Besides we are working without a treasury, so getting pushed off is going to be and issues that is settled at that moment.

This is true, however, there are many Pastors and Christians who are being escorted off public grounds when preaching the word of God. I don't know if this has been passed under our nose or what is going on? BUT I am taking a Constitutional Law class this semester, so I can be more informed and updated on what's going on? Great job Wild Bill!
