Sondheim: "Company" - EBHS Spring '02 Chorus Concert finale

In my senior year of high school, I sang in the high school choir. I was also one of a few students who could play, so I accompanied the choir in this and a few other parts of the concert. It took a while to get the clip posted because it was on VHS and now I finally converted it to digital and though the quality is poor, it sure brings back memories....

Fully agree; do NOT perform sondheim with anything he didn't already had in mind. This song was written for the cast of Company, not for a choir. I find it tempting to arrange his songs as well, from time to time, but any arrangement of his songs is basically insulting, no matter how good the attempt.

Sondheim wrote the music, he is definitally a musical genious. If you ever get a chance to see the show you will be amazed. One renditions of the show I saw was where the actors not only acted, sang but also were their own pit, and it was superb.
