The ladies applying the jewels are Gwen Dopson and Mrs. Jackson. The artist is Mr. Bert Price. This video was filmed on location in Uxbridge, Middlesex by British Pathe Ltd. Notes on file state that the concept of jewelled stockings was first devised by Mrs. Thompson-Carmichael in 1939.
