Hello RudolfoShock, I don't realy know why one side is Amber(Orange) My guess is that it was required by whatever department was the original owner or it was just they way someone ordered it. The End cap's can be changed and make it any color that is needed. I have a dome that is all Amber for it also.

Hello, It does not use a controller, you can either wire it direct to your car or plug it in the cigarette lighter.

Never seen this fuction in the Code 3 XS 8000 and I have sold a lot of them.
