My then 5yo son made me do a running translation (reading subtitles) of this entire movie. He absolutely loved it. Of course, I had to .. mistranslate some of the words. :)

The ship's interior reminds me of the Gotengo from Godzilla Final Wars, which is a good thing because that movie was awesome. The idea of making the most powerful battleship ever built into a spaceship is just awesome. The Japanese really know what they're doing. Also, the movie looks great considering it had a relatively low budget.

@scolaighe Don't be ignorant, The Yamato didn't roll off of the line until the U.S. hit Iwo Jima. The Japanese were going to beach it at Okinawa to use it's guns for artillary. It never made it.
