  • The Fly was really great film, great and original. it didn't win the oscar for best Visual effects because of legendary Aliens but it doesn't matter. i love this film and The Fly 2 was decent sequel as well

  • Really? Cronenberg's original was such a downbeat, affecting experience though, whereas it was difficult to know what to do with Walas' sequel, other than marvel at the gore (crushed heads, melted faces etc).

  • i was studying 5th grade when is saw the movie(in INDIA they show only censored version in television), well i was very much frightened, esp. as the movie goes on, and as he completely transforms into a fly...

OMG, one of the scariest movies ive ever seen in hollywood movies

  • @tham1chen1IND So it was the censored version you saw, and it still frightened you? Have you ever seen the uncut version?

  • @padraic2001eire I just finished watching it for the first time and i feel very strange and scared

  • the one thing in a movie that ever actually made me think "eww," and cringe, was when brundlefly regurgitates on his food, such a captivating concept

  • the fly is, by my oppinion, great movie! it's far beyond its time! i was born in 1995, and the fly came out in 1986, but, still awesome to me! great effects that exceed that time;)

  • That movie is not scary, it's just so sad that somehow you can identify with Seth

  • well, It wasn't really scary, there were a few disgusting scene, but meh, I have strong stomach.

  • It mind blew me and I was grossed out. It was a great film tho but just gross

  • @Magnolia296 Amen, man, amen! And actually, it did win. I have this movie on my iPod AND Netflix streaming. And while I'm home during fall break, I'm getting the movie and the sequel from the library so's the people on my floor and the guys in our residence hall can watch this.

  • I enjoy both Fly movies. Both go a bit overboard with the gruesome vfx, but their strength is in the emotional challenges the characters have to deal with.

  • i really enjoyed the film, i dont see it as just a horror film, i think it had a great story and that it could easily be shown in at least high school level english or film studys.

  • If I was getting these reactions, I would be satisfied being that i scared the audience with a fucking HORROR film.
