@hairdryer101 its also a pain in the backside to get off if you ever need to reweld a joint. Paint is a much better option, particularly on a chassis with some old welds which might crack off.

Powder coating would be far from original on a vintage race car. Earlier space frame chassis were actually painted with a brush. Also the powder coating can hide small cracks in the tubes.

because you need to put it in a oven @ a certain degree of heat.

you need a real big oven to get that thing in.

Great stuff, the chassis is looking very nice! Can't wait to see how all the parts of the car are going to be assembled again :o Will be a shocker-car!
