This is the first movement of a 3 movement piece I'm writing.

I like the idea of it because the program for the piece is written in the score for the musician/conductor. The movements are based off of moments in my childhood.

The names of the movements are arbitrary.

This movement is called Cookie Jar (at the moment) because it is about a child desperately trying to get a cookie. He uses a stool and a chair, but before he succeeds, his mother catches him and he begs her for a cookie......the movement is based off of a candy drawer my grandmother has always had.

The second movement has the boy on the playground being bullied into going down the BIG slide...but he learns that he really enjoys sliding! ...Based on my cousin trying to get me to go down a slide when I was a little kid in Lake George.

The third and final movement puts the boy in the park feeding/chasing ducks and playing with various animals like dogs and other children...Think Municipal park back when it was awesome!
