i don't know but maybe, the animals could represent the "man" itself or his/her life.. when the paper was removed from the animals(as seen in the beginning) may represent the beginning of life itself. then what happened next were the experiences we go through in life, then at the end it turned into honey, which is sweet, which could mean that after all that's happened, you could find life as sweet as hone in the endy..

The unicorn symbolizes someone who is eccentric and out-of-this-world. Adding "money" in the picture, this animal clearly represents Morita san, dont you think? Cutting it short, i think the lion is Takemoto, the poodle is Hagu, and the duck is Shuji. What do you guys think?

I think the 4 animals and those things that cover them represent characters from the anime. Notice the order of the things that cover them (money, steel, leaves, flowers, and lastly honey). From below, the first animal is the unicorn followed by a lion and so on. Connecting this with the order of "transformation", the unicorn would go with money, the lion with steel, the poodle with leaves, and the duck with the flowers.

They have a dub now, I think. Apparently, you can buy the English dub episodes from iTunes. First episode is free.

I know exactly what you mean. It's like the songs contains all the feelings of the anime. Either that or I've been brainwashed by watching all those intros. ^^

Yeah, you're right. I think the songs really do contain the feelings in the anime.

also, i really love how the song ends with the line "IT'S SO DIFFICULT" and the way she says it with such passion. Those three words sum up the whole song, and love and the whole feeling of this song. It's almost like sometimes when there is nothing left to say, so all you can say is "...It's so difficult". The full length version of the song is even better. You really get the whole feel of the song. lol, I've written so much about it, but its just an awesome song.

going into it deeper, being a filmmaker. The animals could be a metaphor for happiness in some way, seen as the song is about sadness. See how at 0:21 the animals are made out of money...Trust me, look carefully at the images, and read the lyrics at the same time, and this opening will make more sense.
