ANDY GIBB *Love Is*(Thicker than water)

Andy performed in the Festival of Song in Chile during 1984, winning the prestigious ?Silver Torch? Award, and breaking attendance records for the festival.

During the mid-80s, Andy toured and did some very well received guest appearances in two situation comedies: Gimme A Break and Punky Brewster. He also did a little foray into game shows: The Fantasy Show and Battlestars.

Throughout his entire life, Andy continued do appearances for charity. He was active in the following charities/causes:

Isn't he just great?!! Amalyur, your awesome videos of this concert inspired me to search for more information on this concert... here is what I found in a biography article... In February, 1984, Andy Gibb appeared in the Festival Vineyard Of The Mar with a great receipt of the public, I go to him up to his "Torch" .En July of the same year returns again to Chile in where actuaria for a show of television that I realize in the city of Iquique... ^.^

amalyur, thank you, thank you, thank you.! You've brought me some wonderful memories. I was there. Yes. Not in the audience, but right behind Andy! I played piano and conducted the orchestra. It's hard to believe it was 24 years ago. This was not shown on American TV, so I never could have dreamed that something like YouTube would someday come along and allow me to see these performances. Anmdy was obviously happy to receive this award. And it was poignant to see him clutch it to himself, and then set it down so very carefully. He clearly loved it, and was frustrated by the fact he couldn't speak Spanish to talk to the fans. But he looked so happy! This is my fav video!!

Who thinks he got better looking as he got a little older? By the '80s he'd lost his baby face. I think he grew even more attractive because of it. ;-)
