Now I show you what it looks like.
I found the correct bolt to attach to the camera, and the rest uses 1/2" PVC pipe and a 2.5Lbs weight.

  • can you give me some details about materials you use?

  • 1/2" PVC, 2.5LBs weight, standard thread for camera, and end pieces that need bolts to tighten.

  • Nice quick fix looks a little flimsy. I've been using the Cam Caddie SCorpion for the past year with great success. $38 and I have myself a sturdy and efficient Steadycam.

  • Cleaver!

  • tight work...made one of these yesterday...only $10 for everything but the weight....that i already had

  • this design really doesn't stabilize the camera all that much, because you are not actually taking the movement out of your step, instead, you are just messing with center of gravity to sorta kinda smooth out the shots. Which works parts of the time.

  • Great Vid.. Check Out the latest home-built design.. The Steadycam-Pro HBE
