Last friday the creative walls broke. My good friend Niklas came with a Cabinet to put my modules and all of a sudden the Roth Händle studio has changed once again. Watch out music we are now officially modular ! And to honour those who have gone before me I would like to present a handful of videos of me trying to figure out how the darn thing works.

The next problem is of course to create something that resembles music...And if not...well you might bump into my modular on ebay...

This mobile phone snippet was shot at the Roth Händle studios in Stockholm. This is where I spend my days recording and producing albums..If you are curious and want to find out more please stroll by www.roth-handle.nu

  • I love the heavy bass that thing puts out. I'm hoping to start building my own modular system myself soon. These videos are part of what made me decide to take the plunge. I live in constant envy of your studio.

  • @DaiReborn Well if you were helping me move the studio (as I am right now...) I am not sure you would envy me as much...There is a lot of stuff...

I am glad to have helped out...The world of modular synths is very confusing...and a lot of fun.

  • @RothHandle for a couple choice studio tools I'd be glad to come help you move :P

  • @DaiReborn I could probably donate a home organ...or three...

  • @DaiReborn I am hoping to rebuild my Website...then I might redo the whole instrument listing...including the modular system. Generally speaking it is a mix of MOTM, synthesizersdotcom, Doepfer, Plan B, Analogue solutions, Harvestman and Livewire. I also have two homebuilt things that are weird and work questionably...

  • @RothHandle I said that ? Well... If you ask, then...

  • I just realized you made this video 3 days after I got married. We were both starting something new, my marriage and your modular adventure.

  • I like pigeons ;) Have some in the yard behind the house. It's my dad's breeding ;) They are very interesting creatures to watch.

  • @RothHandle Very cool, that's the way to do it. I'd love to know what your current collection of modules is, and what you use the most. I'm a big fan.

  • @DaiReborn Nope I just started one module at the time...I started with the MOTM stuff because I wanted really good filters and stable oscillators...But I guess the atrt of it all was the stompboxes...A seiko tuner, a tremolo pedal and a envelope filter.
