Just got this sweet little machine unpacked, tested for shorts, replaced a few main gaskets, and fired her up for a quick test run to make certain everything's all right before I take her apart for a good cleaning.

Since this is my first Model 10, and a bit of a special version with the Omega style magnet that was used only in 1951, I thought I'd do up a nice video for a change :)

  • Very nice indeed. I was born in 1951, so the exclusive Jensen 10 generator design, of that year, makes it all the more distinctive.

  • I know of another '51 M10 owner in the same position. I've not yet come across anything that marks '72 as a significant year for toy steam, by comparison...

  • I love the armature winding wire. Overall great shape. I bet the seller was shocked to find out what it was worth.

  • I think it'll clean up nicely.

Model 10's are rarely a bargain, from what I've seen. I think I did pretty well with this one all the same.
