In this video Peter explains that nobody wanted to listen to him because everyone was too busy partying in the bubble. Once again he reiterates that government interference is going to create an inflationary depression. He also calls Keynes a witchdoctor and says that people need to ignore Keynesian Economics. He says that the government is making the same mistake that Hoover did during the Great Depression-- interfering with the market trying to liquidate bad debt. He points out that health care is too expensive, and the only way to bring down costs is to get the government out of it.
"Doing the right thing is always politically unpopular. That's why we need to have some elected officials who are willing to jeopardize their own political careers for the future of the country."

  • Gotta love MSNBC.They only liked Schiff because he was hammering away at a GOP president. Now that he's critical of Obama for having the same damn economic policy, he's gone the way of Lou Dobbs. Nobody cares about the truth. MSNBC didn't care that Bush was wrong on certain specific issues or why. They cared about getting Obama elected. If they cared about the issues, they'd be on Obama just as hard as Bush.

Even though I was home alone watching, I had to applaud when he said that.

  • "How are they going to do that?"

You know what? That's a sensible question if you know very little about what Schiff is talking about. It shows that Joe is listening as opposed to other corporate pundits who either automatically cut him off or ask the next question on the list without giving him props.

  • 'mistakes' ROTFL!

These are not mistakes! These are the "Oops Business Model" and allows those with cash to buy up assets on the cheap.

The middle/lower classes, BY DESIGN, are the losers.

  • yeah, if not honestly through taxation, dishonestly through inflation.

  • yeah, i loled.

  • Peter Schiff isn't really a doctor, is he?

  • wow this is ridiculous. the dude is sitting there spittin truth like hot fire and all those tools can say that its a lost cause.. and SCHIFF is the negative nancy? come onnnn

  • It's hilarious to hear that the truth is not politically expedient. People would have to be starving in the street before they will do the right thing--and they well might be doing so.

We will have to do the right thing, Peter is correct. But we could become another Argentina or Weimar Germany first.

What killed the Roman empire? Bad monetary and tax policy and too much government spending. We're getting there faster than they ever did.

  • Joe DID make it in Washington, in the House of Representatives.
