1977 Honda CB 750 K - bone stock original bike with 31,000 miles and counting. Color is Excel Black. Bike has recently had a top end (valve) job and overall tuneup. No leaks, runs very strong, starts up instantly from a cold start (electric start works perfectly, as does the kick). Bike has averaged less than 1K miles per year.

  • I got one of this, and want to know, if you can help a fellow ryder, why this motorcycle is so noisy? Its like if somethin like a bearing its broken inside, isnt? I hear it most on the points side of it... What do you think?

  • @elpiPIOLO1969 The noise is typically due to either the cam chain or the clutch basket. If you pull in the clutch and the noise subsides, then the clutch basket is the culprit, otherwise, the cam chain can rattle a bit a low (<1500) rpms. You can adjust this with the cam chain tensioner (easy) or replace the cam chain (big job). One more thing you can try is to ensure the carbs are properly synchronized. This also helps. Good luck.

  • Hey John? (gotta be you, GA. plate) So glad i happened upon this video. Your bike is absolutly BEAUTIFUL! Sure wish to own one some day.

  • @cm1seabee2 Thanks! I actually sold the bike last fall to a guy who was planning to do a frame-off restoration. Miss the bike, but he is local so I look forward to seeing the finished product. They are amazing bikes. After having a top end done on it and carbs synced, the bike ran like a swiss watch.

  • HELLO

  • whats the black box behind the carbs? Are the 4 chrome air filters inside it?

  • There is NO REASON to rebuild a CB750 engine with only 31,000 miles.

    Thats nothing.

Also you must take the slack out of the cam chain BEFORE adjusting the valves or it will be noisy.

The cam chain slack is taken out when the engine is 15º BTDC.

    Follow the manual.

I am a Ex dealer mechanic.
