  • I've used Max for years, recently learned Solid Works where everything has to be driven by dimensions. So I'm finding Alias a bit weird because I can't see any dimensioning in Alias. I thought this programme was about making products.

    Ah well, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. :)

  • @titanclassics it's a bit of a different paradigm working with Alias from a tool like swx. a really quick thing you can do to look at some dimensionally relevant parameters. e.g. if you are creating key point lines (line, cirlcle, square, etc. . .) you can enter values in the promptline (top of the modeling window) in terms of x,y,z values.

  • @titanclassics you can also invoke the information window to see exactly the size of the geometry you are working with. (marking menu right click-cntrl-shift-right mouse click) this will give size values where appropriate under attributes and you can change the value to change the geometry.
