Fool, those were Deinonychus.
Velociraptors ARE chicken sized. They got their names mixed up like what subzero said. Now every form of media mistakes Deinonychus as Velociraptors including dino Crisis. And that was due to Jurassic Park.
Probably to make their names look "cooler" for the movie.

velociraptor is chicken sized???? buwahahahaha....it was 2-4 meters long and about 2 meters high so,very close to a chicken but not really

well it depends velocirapter is chicken sized like you say but jurassic park got the name mixed up when the raptor should of been a utahraptor or deinonychus.
