Exceed vs Himoto PT 1/4 Which is better?

I get asked all the time by people entering into the hobby "I want a reliable kit. Which is better? Exceed, Himoto, redcat??" and I do not have an answer as I have never owned a 1/10th scale nitro buggy.

However, I decided that with the economy where it is that it might be good to compare two of them. I bought a exceed and a himoto. THe following series is a unbiased account of how the buggies perform and which one I recommend.
