The Winter Wonderland event ran from November 21st 2011 until January 8th 2012. Thousands of "ice" skaters enjoyed the experience of gliding over the synthetic surface installed just above the canal in front of the Palazzo, Venetian and Venezia hotels. This hugely successful flooring system was manufactured by NOICEONE/OKULEN in Germany, supplied through Icepro (distributors for North America and Canada) and installed by BH Skating. The organisers were so pleased with the event that they are expecting to make the rink much larger for next year!

The skating looks almost the same as on "real" ice. Nice gliding, without the cold, damp or even wet surroundings of frozen H2O. Well done the organisers and suppliers of this fantastic facility. Let us see it all year round - remember "an ice rink is not just for Christmas!"
