heh, i had the bugged version for the Acorn Electron when i was a kid. Took me 17 years and an Emulator to finally finish it, but i got there in the end :D

Yes, those who didn't buy the first release of the game - it had a bug - there isn't enough diamonds to complete the game! Doh... Later releases of the game had the bug squashed. Do a search on Wikipedia for Repton 2.
