Great job. i voted for the stadium (Safeco) which failed, but that season inspired the city officials to make it happen anyway. P.S. Joey Cora layed down the bunt that started things off.
I love the Mariners. This play made me a fan. Until then, I had never been to Washington.
A beautiful lady was at that game on the third base side. I would not meet her until a year later, and we're still together. We have been back to see games in Safeco many, many times.
It sucks that the Mariners have fallen so far, but we still love them. With baseball, it's not always about championships. Sometimes it's just about enjoying the game on a lazy afternoon.

haha I go to Northwestern actually, but I grew up in Seattle. Unfortunately at Northwestern the athletes still wear purple, but our football team was 9-4 this year.
